Very good omen , the best shot ever played by Imran, it will form a combination of young & seniors. Whats a problem. calling uncalled for aspersions is very much unlike Muslims. Imran khan today is a true Leader and role model of our youth. Gentleman relax and enjoy.regards

Another young but too old leader Air Marshall (r) Asghar Khan join PTI, Now Revolution must come but via USA through Backdoor Diplomacy of Imran Khan.

Actually Pakistani Youth is Extremely Emotional and Imran Khan playing with their Sentiments.

    Aslam-O-Aliykum,

PTI will never ever come to the government as it will disintegrate way before election.

PTI workers fight over Khattak’s joining the party Staff Report

ISLAMABAD: Two groups of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Nowshehra fought over the dispute of membership of Parvez Khattak on Monday.

According to sources, former provincial minister Parvez Khattak came to Islamabad to announce his affiliation with PTI during press conference along with Imran Khan.

Sajid Kamriani, leading another group reached the PTI secretariat and started protesting against Khattak. They alleged that Khattak was a corrupt person and PTI has no space for corrupt persons so he should not be allowed to join PTI.

Later they entered in the secretariat and both groups scuffled with each other. They threw chairs at each other and used battens. Kamriani was injured as batten was struck on his head.

PTI Chairman Imran Khan decided to postpone the press conference and Khattak group was instructed to leave from the place while other group stayed and kept protesting.

PTI President Islamabad Amir Mughal said that Khattak group was instructed to leave after the clash between two groups and matter would be resolved through dialogue.

PTI spokesperson Rizwan said that Khan had announced that a committee would sort out the issue however; names of the members of the committee would be announced later. http://www.dailytimes.com.pk/default.asp?page=20111213story_13-12-2011_pg11_3 NOWSHERA: The office-bearers of the Pakistan Tehrik-e-Insaf (PTI) in all the union councils of Nowshera district including its women wing Sunday opposed the likely entry of Khyber Pakh-tunkhwa Irrigation Minister Pervez Khattak into the party fold.

The office-bearers of the PTI including district organiser of women workers, Seema Aurangzeb, during a meeting in Pabbi town in Nowshera said they would question the decision of the party’s leadership made in the drawing rooms.

They said that it was a conspiracy that the politicians having poor credentials were given chance in the PTI as they were opting for the party due to its popularity among the masses. However, they pointed out that the workers of the party were concerned over the inclusion of rolling stones from other political parties into the PTI.

They added that the party workers from NA-5 and NA-6 led by Seema Aurangzeb would hold protest outside the PTI office in Islamabad against the induction of Pervez Khattak in the party today (Monday).

They said the workers were dismayed over the decision of the party leadership for allowing corrupt politicians to join PTI. Meanwhile, PTI Deputy President in Nowshera Sajid Gumaryani resigned from his office to protest the decision of the PTI leadership regarding induction of Pervez Khattak into the party. http://www.thenews.com.pk/TodaysPrintDetail.aspx?ID=81876&Cat=7&dt=12/12/2011

=========================================================== NOTE FOR THOSE WHO REALLY CARE:

I am 110% sure and shouting out loud for many years now that US will attack Pakistan directly or most probably indirectly by using the shoulder of India by 2015 as declared WAR. But undeclared WAR is already on to paralyze us just like Iraq, Afghanistan and Libya by CIA, MOSSAD, RAW and MI6 using defense contractors, USAID, DFID, diplomats, TTP and other so called Jihadist organizations. As capitalism is on its knees and it needs blood. But to counter this threat we should revolutionized Pakistan in next two years and free Pakistan from ruling elite who are selling our dignity since 1857. Imran’s new media czar was his strongest critic

Umar Cheema Thursday, December 15, 2011

ISLAMABAD: As Pakistan Tehrik-e-Insaf (PTI) is flooded with newcomers, the appointment of a fresh recruit, Shafqat Mehmood, as secretary information has raised many eyebrows as he was one of the ardent critics of Imran Khan, terming him a “signal failure”.

In a strange twist of fate, Shafqat Mehmood has replaced Omer Sarfraz Cheema, as secretary information who had been regularly sending rejoinders to Shafqat’s diatribe against Imran Khan, not realising that this man would soon be grabbing his position as the party grows in size and space.

Shafqat wrote in an article on Imran that as a “westernised liberal person” while he was railing “against something called western culture, which was a straight forward rejection of modernisation.”

His article published in The News on May 15, 2009 titled “Imran Khan’s strange politics” (http://www.thenews.com.pk/TodaysPrintDetail.aspx?ID=177589&Cat=9&dt=5/15/2009) and Omer’s subsequent rejoinder defending Imran, are quite instructive to determine how the wind of change leaves an impact on hearts and minds.

Lauding his contribution in sports and social work in that article, Shafqat then started counting Imran’s shortcomings: “When it comes to politics and policy though, the same Imran is unfortunately a signal failure.”

“It can be truly said of him that he never misses an opportunity to miss an opportunity,” wrote Shafqat about Imran. He was probably right as he never missed an opportunity to grab a good position.

A former bureaucrat, Shafqat was joint secretary in the Prime Minister’s Secretariat when appointed Special Assistant to PM Benazir Bhutto, then got elected as PPP senator, later took oath in President Farooq Laghari’s caretaker cabinet after Benazir was sent home. He didn’t stop here.

Shafqat also served under Pervaiz Musharraf in the Punjab’s cabinet. But when it came to attacking Imran, he criticised him for joining hands with Musharraf in his early days. In Shafqat’s word, Imran “flip-flopped with Musharraf — supporting him in the rigged referendum, opposing him in the ensuing general election — and got the worst of both worlds.”

By the time, his article was published in May 2009, Shafqat was voicing support of Mian Nawaz Sharif while lambasting Imran for foolish choices and missing opportunities. He continued: “He (Imran) could have teamed up with Nawaz Sharif in 1997 and got his party a presence in parliament. He did not.”

A politician should know, he went to explain, which battles can be won and which are a lost cause. Shafqat then thought that “Imran is on the wrong side of history.” His frustration against Imran was also based on the latter’s stance on militancy as PTI chief was opposed to army operation in tribal areas and Swat and thought that Imran is opponent of modernisation.

According to Shafqat, Imran’s biggest policy blunder was his stance on militants: “But, all these mistakes pale in comparison when measured up against his obsessive, single track refusal to understand that these barbarian hordes targeting Fata and Malakand division are a threat to our country. He has just one mantra that this is America’s fault, America’s fault, America… etc. America has contributed to it but is that the only problem we confront?”

Terming himself a westernised liberal, he wrote: “If he does not want to believe a ‘westernised liberal’ like me, he should read Saleem Saafi in Jang or others that know these people well.” At the end of his article, he urged Imran to stand with the people and armed forces.

Omer’s job at the time was to defend party leadership’s policy, right or wrong, that he did through issuing a rejoinder published four-days later (http://www.thenews.com.pk/TodaysPrintDetail.aspx?ID=178276&Cat=11&dt=5/19/2009), not realising that this man would usurp his position doing the same job, no matter it is intellectually right or wrong.

Responding to a set of queries, Shafqat told The News that he now has had a change of heart towards Imran and that he has “always liked Imran” and his misunderstandings about PTI chief removed after having detailed sittings with him.

“Imran is a good politician. The change we dream of is only possible through him,” said Shafqat whose opinion has transformed now. Imran has two essential qualities a leader must possess: honesty and determination, he explained, and clarified that the slot he has been given was not his dream position as he wanted to focus on policy matters.

Talking about the above-quoted article, Shafqat said he had lambasted Imran for opposing operation against militants without clearly understanding what PTI chief really meant. “But detailed discussions later on convinced me about Imran’s vision on how to combat militancy,” he said.

Asked about his speculative plan of joining PML-N in 2009, Shafqat acknowledged that he had several meetings with the N-leadership but those were all about policy matters and he was invited as an analyst, not a potential new entrant.

He acknowledged working under Musharraf but declared it as a wrong decision. Shafqat said he had served in bureaucracy and politics but nobody can point fingers towards his financial integrity

It seems like the rebirth of now deceased IJI. I guess people have no principals and are shameless. Look at Shah Mahmood who only found out about Zaradari when he was offered a ministry he didn’t like, what a shame.

I would term this as moral corruption but IK only refers to financial corruption as corruption.

    Dear Folks

Imran Khan's Jalsa of today was an impressive gathering of people. I love our masses because they always pin hopes in those who talk for change. But situation (changing day by day) suggests that TI's future will not be different from other parties. Those who used to sit shoulder to shoulder to Imran Khan were today stood up at a distance and all turn-coats and LOTAS were sitting in the front row.

He talked about problems and criticized Zardari and Gillani but no body dared to speak against MQM's politics.

Shah Mehmood Qureshi has proved himself a high level rigid, conservative and extremist soul, who is desperate to reach to power at any cost. His personal grievances with Zardari for not giving him Foreign Ministry reached to a level where he is prompting highly poisoned arguments on nuclear issue, promoting anti-India sentiment and anti-progressive values.

I am so surprised to listen to his speech. I wonder, a person can go to that extent. He was talking like Osama and Mula Omer to attack USA and India. Just for power how people can exploit sentiment of youth. he is more dangerous then TALIBAN for me and my kids. I want progressive and secular leadership for my future and Pakistan with liberal identity.

I am really surprised that how so-called progressive people are talking poison against neighbor states, instigating people to fight against 'KAFIR INDIA'. They are talking about character, credibility and commitment in the presence of Jahangir Tareen and Khursheed Kasuri. Atleast i feel ashamed and why do they think that people are fool.

    Dear Zulfiqar;

You are 100% right that Tehreek Insaf is just exploiting youth and involving them in dirty politics and personal motives of gaining power for the loosers. In 30th October, Lahore Jalsa, Imran Khan categorically said to initiate Civil Dis obedience Tehrik after two months if the leaders have failed to show assets, the actual assets owned by the all leadership. And only four days left, no such mood shown by the Imran khan; the reason is very clear that the LOTAS will never permit IMran Khan to do so neither they will show their actual assets at its own, as happened till date that not a single LOTA publish his assts at the time of PTI joining.

And Imran Khan is happy with the new entrant to travelling in private helicopter of JAHANGIR TAREEN; who remained Federal Minsiter for Industries and Production in the Mushraf Government and owned three sugar mills; the poor people will be well ever that in that regime, sugar prices rose to Rs. 130/- per kg. On the Supreme court directives, a case was sent to NAB, and the NAB as usual put this case to cold room on higher authorities directive and on the non cooperation of Ministry of Industries and Production. So it is very clear that the Petrol used in the private Tareen's copter is from the poor Pakistani income share.

Secondly, I personally know two personalities Mr. Jahangir Tareen and other is Mr. Awais Leghari, whom i challenge, their current assets increased more than 200% as of before entering in politics; Imran should himself check the details if he is of not fond of be becoming a pilot of the copter. And also it is interesting that all of the PTI leadership individually affirm their loyalty and promises to witnessing the mausoleum of Quaid-e-Azam in their speeches and unfortunately none of them spared some time to go the mausoleum to offer Fateha to this great leader. THIS IS TEHREEK -e- INSAF

    @ Daha sb,

The whole day and show was dedicated to Quaid. I think no matching tribute than this by any party including all MLs….this is not a scoring point. PTI attracted tens of thousands to his mausoleum is it not note worthy…

    @Zulfi sb,

Shah Mahmood never used nuclear for aggression against India or any other but explained the doctorine as minimum detterence ….. I listened to him he was attacking Zardari and said “better ties with India and US not slavery”……

We may agree or disagree and may criticize PTI but with logic and its program…..otherwise there is not a single politician to give a hope…..we should follow PTI and other parties till logical conclusion.

Now we should take out manifestos of all parties PPP, PML N, Q, MQM, ANP, JUI…..and ask what they achieved since 2008………

Zulfiqar its true , Imran is fighting for ISI and cannot say anything against those who are pro establishment e.g MQM , Muslim League (Q) , and Apml . He will only oppose PMLN and PPP. I would have considered him true and loyal leader if he had talked about every party , if he had talked about Bhata Khori and terrorirsm. I am sorry to say he is going in a wrong direction.

In the yesterday show of PTI Karachi Imran Khan and his fellows simply ignored the sovereignty issues of Pakistan and gliding Pak-US relationships while counting the current crises in front of the public. How IK forgot his most famous tag line which he used from years that “Ya humari jang nahi thi, Phir hum kiun lar rahay hian and most recent line ” Give peace a chance” , he also didn’t mentioned the drone attacks and the NATO attacks.Secondly when Shah Mahmood Qureshi addressed, he asked from the public “Pakistan ko kis say khatra hay” Karachi’s public replied “America say” he promptly handle the situation cleverly with by saying ” wo to baad mian hay pahlay kis say khatra hay” then he replaced the words with “Internal Corruption” that are the clear sign of Back door diplomacy adopted by Imran Khan.

Anyway doing hit shows all over Pakistan might shows his fame graphs is rising within the public, cause they are hoping for the change is guaranteed but unfortunately only the face changes.

I advices IK to take out some time from exporting members and make a clear manifesto of PTI for declaring to the nation at least people will understand what you can give them. Don’t deliver them just dreams, give some realistic promise as well, cause in five years you cant make Pakistan like Britain just make it Pakistan a place to live by coming out from the stat of war and revitalizing the national income resources.

The big agricultural landowners & industrialists remain an immensely powerful force in Pakistani politics, so much so that they remain a dominating force in the federal and provincial assemblies. How then can Imran Khan overturn their influence in a parliamentary system dominated by feudal and industrial MNAs and MPAs on both sides of the aisle? This is proven and further complicated by the fact that Imran Khan himself is beginning to accept old politicians from the established parties such as Mian Muhammad Azhar, Abdul Aleem Khan, Iftikhar Jhagra, and Shahid Akram Bhinder with many other PML-Q and PPP deserters looking to climb aboard the PTI ship The truth is that Imran Khan and his PTI face immense difficulties in propagating their agenda for change in Pakistan’s current political system.

As they say ‘old wine, new bottles’. If Imran Khan is sincere let him declare that he will charge agricultural income to income tax and Shah Mahmood Qureshi will introduce/pilot a bill to make it into law in the National Assembly; mere rhetoric has not and will not take us anywhere in fact has taken us down and we cannot afford to go down further.

    Dear All:

Sindhi people are neither racists not fascists. The gentleman who has written this word for Zulfi Halepoto (who is a well – read intellectual and civil society activit of Sindh), should look into the mirror and he will immediately recognize the true face of racism and cultural as well as economic fascism of the urban ethnic group. The MQM will realize the gravity of situation when the PTI will share seats with them at Karachi and Latifabad next year. A vast majority of Sindhi people in rural districts and especially the youth are not expected to support the PTI because that party does not have any program for Sindh and Sindhi people. We are already sick of the the rightists, feudals and religeous fanatics. Thank you.

Pakistan future also exists in loving our own cultures, languages, literature and norms. I also believe if MQM quit the hating sons of soil policy, they can create a place for them in pakistan. But it is beyond their policy control centre,

    Thus Spoke Zarathustra

Thus Spake the Great One; Imran Khan fulfilled the expectation as a last hope for a hopeless and corrupt culture! While the nation has been sleeping, there suddenly came a tapping, with a promise of ‘Nevermore’. That there will be no corruption; the government would provide health and unemployment to fifty percent-unemployed populations. Does he understand that the country needs a robust industrial economy that may require years to achieve. The best estimate for India is that by 2050, the poverty would be reduced to twenty percent. I do not know if people muttered while they are napping that all other friends (Bhutto, Asghar Khan, Musharraf, Nawaz Sharif) have flown before; and the morrow he will leave them (high and dry), as hopes have flown before. He came to Karachi and conquered the hearts of those who were waiting for the last Messiah for the Second Coming! He sounded like a cricketer turned into an idolized and venerated politician supported and spurred to a new greatness by the establishment (noting wrong with that in Pakistan). Imran Khan took the same moral high ground that has become emblematic character of our political elite that has to promise the demise of a corrupt society and new era of honest governance. The repetition of all the bad and corrupt politician’s rhetoric regarding cleaning the corruption and working for the poor are such clichés that never seem to fail. The only problem was that he sounded like a raven in Alan Edgar Poe poem. Doubtless, said I’ what it utters is its only stock and store’. The speech lacked the required coherent ideas articulated in a manner that may combine the pragmatism and idealism to represent both what the country needs and at the same time mirror the aspiration of people. I remember the Bhutto’s speech that captured the imagination of the nation. Bhutto was a great orator- He had the ability to inspire people. If one did not like him or did not agree with his policies, he would still accept and appreciate his intellectual and political acumen. The problem is that the new generation of Pakistanis at the time Imran Khan’s ascendance through the establishment design is part of a desperate nation, frustrated and has lost hopes.

I think that I have written this before or not but I have to bring out this point gain. In the Republican primaries in USA, Cain started looking very promising and was leading the race by some twenty points. In the midst of his growing popularity, the accusation was made that he fooled around with other women. In the beginning he deflected charges by shunning the discussion of his moral misbehavior; then he aggressively denied charges. Finally, it became clear that he was involved with other woman while he was married to his wife for a long time. Within few days his popularity tumbled down to a point that he had to drop out of the race. One of his strong supporters in Iowa was asked why he refused to help Cain; he reminded the reporter that he was a “True Christian” that he could not support someone with that kind moral transgression. The message was that a true Christian has to abide by the moral guidance given to him by the Bible- How about true Muslims? We have youth and some sensible immature adults who would accept a leader who has an illegitimate daughter whom he refused to acknowledge and support. I ask a simple question: Would a man of conscious marry his daughter to a man of such character?

Then he turned around and introduced all the same political figures that were part of our corrupt political system. One who flew over the cuckoo’s nest to declare himself a great rebel; all his life he was part and parcel of Nawaz Sharif’s corrupt ML-N team of thugs; I must say that Hashmi is a nice man. The other shyster, Qureshi, the next to the chief, has jumped bunch of political parties to arrive to a movement for justice; a movement for justice should have on the top of its agenda to abolish the feudalism in Pakistan. The establishment, the military, has to bring a new face, not as new as we wish to keep the old scheme of controlling the civilian government. All of a sudden the nation has been forced to accept their puppet as a great hope for the future. He is a right wing playboy who has recently found religion to hide his past sins. It is an irony that among a very intelligent and hardworking nation we can not find someone who can stand above personal bias, intellectual mediocrity, dishonesty in portraying a false image, that what he says and believes are opposite to each other. Can we find one leader who is clean and honorable? One who can challenge the military shenanigans and hegemony over the power and transfer it to ordinary people.

EVEN IF HE WINS THE ELECTIONS, HE WILL END UP IN THE LAPS OF THE GENERALS, NO OTHER WAY AS HE IS BOUND TO FAIL IN HIS ADMINISTRATION IN OVERCOMING THE CORREPT ODDS WITHIN.
