2. Job content

Job purpose:

To assist the senior buyer in successful implementation of the buying & merchandising strategy.    

4. Key responsibilities & measurement

Key Tasks & KPI  

Visit wholesale mandi for price check and perform buying activity on regular basis Check and verify suppliers purchases and strictly monitor the buying Negotiate with suppliers for best buying Consolidate store orders and give ordering to suppliers accordingly Need to get full knowledge of GMS and work accordingly Prepare price comparisons to assist in the buyers work. Assist the buyer in the process of determination and change in the purchase and sale prices. Visit, Evaluate and select the adequate suppliers and assist the buyer in the decision of the terms and condition. Determine and continuously maintain the ideal assortment for the given area, in terms of turnover, profit and stock level. To conduct market analysis To keep the record of the changes in articles and prepare action plans.

o    heads of (especially buying, operations), other heads in the local head office

External:

o    Supplier, Market     Job Profile  

6. Qualification

Education

o    Preferably Masters / Graduation in Food Sciences, Agriculture, Horticulture o    Business Graduate with relevant experience
